Children at Liturgy

Here are a few suggestions to help those with little children make the most of worship time:

  • Bring materials for the children such as children's liturgy books, Bible story picture books, paper and crayons, quiet toys.
  • Sit close to the front as possible so that the children can see what's happening. Restrict, but don't prohibit movement. Say "Whisper" rather than "Don't talk".
  • Ignore comments that belittle your effort to make your children part of church life. Christ accepted and welcomed children. How can we do any less.

A Family Perspective

The crowds that heard Jesus were becoming hostile and Jesus' family feared for his life. "They went out to restrain him," for not only was he embarrassing the family, he was also endangering himself. But Jesus would not compromise his conscience. He continued to say what others preferred not to hear. Sometimes parents have to do the same; they have a good model in Jesus.

Summer Festival

The Sisters of SS. Cyril & Methodius, Danville, PA will be holding their Annual Summer Festival on Saturday, June 21st, on the grounds of Villa Sacred Heart.

lan a day to visit our Slovak Sisters and support their endeavors. They will be most appreciative!
