A Family Perspective

Today's Gospel calls dads to be men of faith and hope. The Gospel speaks of "the smallest of all seeds which grows and becomes the greatest of shrubs." Our seemingly insignificant acts can have a tremendous effect on our children.

Our smallest acts of love, attention and approval are acts of faith and hope. Faith, because we show our belief and confidence in our children; hope, because we will not see the results of our parenting for many years. Like the farmer in the Gospel, we sow and nurture the seed, trust the seed and the earth, and then await the harvest.

Choir News

Just a reminder, the Adult Choir will sing on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm for the Month's Mind Memorial Mass for Father Cy.

If you haven't returned your folder, now would be a good time to do so.

Dear Parishioners,

The family of your late pastor, Rev. Cyril S. Ponisciak, wishes to express it's great appreciation to the friends and parishioners of St. Joseph's Church for all Mass offerings, memorials, and all other expressions of sympathy which were extended to us during the recent loss of our brother and uncle. Your many kindnesses will be remembered in our prayers during this most difficult time.

Thank you,
The Ponisciak Family

Picnic

A "special, special thank you" to Andy Levenite for the wonderful job she did organizing and implementing our First Annual Parish Picnic last Sunday. Thanks also to her wonderful crew who spent many hours preparing the food for this affair. Everything was perfect - including the weather (which I'm sure was the direct intercession of Father Cy. He loved parish "get-togethers!")

The Picnic was such a huge success, we have already booked a date for next year. Thank you for your support and we hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
