Baptism & Marriage

Arrangements for Baptism and Marriage may be made by contacting the rectory. The preparation for these special sacramental events takes time, so wherever possible please call at least one month prior to the christening date and at least six months prior to the wedding date.

Sacraments for the Sick

The Anointing of the Sick and Holy Communion are administered at home to our ill and house bound parishioners upon notification. Please inform Father Oulds, who is serving our spiritual needs until a new pastor is assigned to our parish, when anyone is hospitalized. The sick always have a place in our community prayer.

A Family Perspective

In the opening of today's Gospel, Jesus listened as "the apostles gathered around and told him all that they had done.." By listening, we can understand and appreciate others' experiences. Whether it is listening to the excited chatter of a young child or the often repeated stories of an aging grandparent, listening is important. It is not just time well spent, it is also sacred time.

Catholic School News

A Sad Good-bye

Upon the completion of the past school year, it was announced that Sister Miriam Cotton, I.H.M., Principal of Coatesville Area Catholic Elementary School, would be leaving us to take on a similar position in Petersburg, Virginia. Sister Miriam provided outstanding leadership for our parochial elementary school. In a genuine, warm way Sister Miriam gave much to CACES' students, faculty and families over these past two years, and she shall be missed very much. God be with Sister Miriam in her new educational undertaking, she assuredly takes with her our abiding appreciation and fondness.

Welcome!

School Bells at summer's end will ring not only the new academic year, but also a new principal for Coatesville Area Catholic Elementary School. Sister Helen Loretta McAdams, I..H.M. has been appointed to replace Sister Miriam Cotton, I.H.M. as principal of our consolidated school. Sister Helen is presently concluding her assignment at Incarnation Grade School in Trenton, New Jersey. In addition, Sister Helen has served as principal in three other elementary schools: St. Cyril School in East Lansdowne; St. Aloysius Academy in Bryn Mawr; and Holy Innocents School in Philadelphia. A veteran of many years of teaching in the classroom and school administration, Sister Helen possesses those leadership qualities capable of challenging CACES to even greater heights. We warmly welcome her to our midst, and pray that her ministry in catholic education will be filled with much happiness and satisfaction.
