Preschool Class

Please remember that our CCD program starts with a preschool class. This class is open to children starting at age 4. Please sign up your preschool children if you have not already done so.

Party!

Since our end of the year CCD party was cancelled last May, we have decided to hold a start of the year party for the children this year. We have tentatively set Sunday, September 14th as the date. Please watch the bulletin in the coming weeks for further details.

Adult Choir

Rehersals for the Adult Choir (ages 14 and up) will begin on Wednesday, September 17th at 7pm. Anyone who wishes to join us this season is most welcome to attend. There are no tryouts and you don’t need to know how to read music. All you need is a desire to sing. We had some good times last year and this season looks to be a little less demanding on all of us so I’m hoping to see everyone from last season as well as some new faces (guys, where are you?). If you’d like more information please call me (Craig Cigas). Don’t forget, the rescheduled choir party is this Sunday at 3pm at Craig’s house!

Youth Choir

Registration for the Youth Choir will take place at both Masses this weekend, August 23rd & 24th, in the church vestibule. Any children between the ages of five and thirteen are encouraged and welcome to join. All returning members and new members are asked to register so that I may get updated information. Our first rehearsal will be Monday, September 15th at 6:30pm. We have some fun and different things planned for this year so please plan on attending our first rehearsal. If you have any questions or would like some information, please contact me (Susan Sandoski).

A Family Perspective

In today's Gospel some followers complained that what Jesus taught was too difficult to follow--but Jesus did not back off. As adults, it is our obligation to clearly teach Christian values to our children. We must expect resistance for the Christian life style is contrary to our culture. Like Jesus, don't back away!
