Announcements

All are welcome to attend the Redemptorist Parish Mission at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church this week, September 28th - October 2nd, featuring guest preacher, Father William Maggs, C.SS.R. The main service is conducted nightly at 7 o'clock and lasts about one hour. Come, take this opportunity to grow in friendship with Jesus Christ, our Redeemer!

St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Overbrook will hold its Annual Open House on Sunday, October 5th, from 12 noon until 5:00pm. See the place of formation for our future priests and meet the seminarians trained there. Visitors are also welcome to stay on for Evening Prayer and Benediction. The Seminary is located at 100 East Wynnewood Road, Wynnewood; call (610) 667-3394, ext 231 for directions.

Participants in the earlier announced Cluster Bilingual Bible Study Series are requested to meet at 9:30, on Saturday morning, October 4th, in the St. Cecilia Church Hall. Questions? Call Father Francis Lewis at 384-0422. Do come and increase your understanding of God's holy word!

St. Mary of Providence Center, Elverson invites all to their Fall Festival on Sunday, October 5th, from 1:00 to 6:00pm, rain or shine. Features include tours of the mansion, bountiful buffet, hayrides, children's games, white elephant table, food items and handmade articles for sale. The Comboni Missionary Sisters this month begin their third year of ministry to the poor, the elderly and the Hispanic community in Coatesville. They are seeking to form a support group of volunteers who would be willing to aid in their many good works. To organize this effort, a meeting will be held at St. Cecilia Church, 6:30pm on Monday, October 6th. All are welcome to attend. Devon Prep's Open House is Sunday, November 2nd, beginning at 1:00pm. Devon's Scholarship & Entrance Test is offered Saturday, November 8th, at 8:30am. For further information, please call the Director of Admissions at (610)688-7337.

Coatesville Life Chain

Come join thousands of Pro-Lifers in hundreds of cities and towns across the country as we peacefully line the sidewalks for prayer and witness to help put an end to abortion. This project is sponsored by the Chester County Pro-Life Coalition. It will be held on Sunday, October 5th from 2:30-3:30pm, along Route 30 in Coatesville. Women's Club News

Covered Dish Social - This Sunday, September 28 th, 5:30 PM. Looking forward to seeing all of you especially the faculty of Coatesville Area Catholic Elementary Schools, and Sister Helen Lorretta, IHM, our new principal. A warm welcome to her. If you have not signed up to attend and find at the last minute you are free to do so, please check with Andy Levenite (384-4665) . At any Covered Dish, there is usually room for a few more.

Needlework Guild - We hope you are gathering articles for this worthy project. Maybe some of our young families have new baby items that they are not using and would like to share, If you would like us to do your shopping for you please call Margaret Florian (384-7875). Our Ingathering will be held at our October Meeting. Please place your donations in the box in the church vestibule.

Pierogie Making Session - Saturday, October 4th - 9:00 AM. Everyone is welcome to come and help including the men of the parish. Thanks in advance for your willingness to join us.

All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner - Saturday, October 11th. Adults $6.00 Children $3.00, Children Under 12 - FREE. Members of the Women’s Club will be contacting you in the near future. We hope you are all able to join us . It’s a great fund raiser and also you will be getting a very nice dinner with no work for Mother.
