29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Among the most the vital of our responsibilities as a community of faith, is sharing in worship with one another. Our Sunday celebration, the Mass, is best celebrated when we all participate. All hymns are located in the misalette.

Gathering: 47 To Jesus Christ, Our Sovereign King p149
Offertory: 29 At the Name of Jesus p143
Communion: MI451 One Bread, One Body
Recessional: 53 Now Thank We All Our God p150

Who's the Greatest?

Who is Numero Uno? We see the temptation often. James and John, Zebedee's boys, fell into that trap. Jesus answered by calling them to be servants, thralls to others, slaves to all -- an uncomfortable lesson on how to be saved. He became our servant and invites us to follow and do likewise. We can do it if we have confidence enough to approach the throne of grace, to open ourselves to God's mercy and to avail ourselves of divine help. Then we are ready to eat and drink with the Lord Jesus.

Also, with our prayers, we support the zealous, dedicated endeavors of the missionaries themselves at home and abroad. God love you for your kind response! Pray for the Missions worldwide!
