AnnouncementsOur World Mission Sunday offering of $598.00 has been gratefully acknowledged by the Society for the Propagation of the Faith. God bless you all for your generosity. A reminder to those who have not used their Block Collection envelope; please do so as soon as possible. We thank those who have already contributed - may God bless you for all your charitable actions. A special thank you for all the CCD teachers and others who helped make the Halloween Party for the children a success. They "all" looked like winners! Present Altar Servers are requested to meet with Father John and Mr. Vince Krupansky in Church after the 10:30am Mass next Sunday, November 23rd. It is an update session for the servers, introducing them to a few changes and added details in the manner of assisting at the Altar. Parents should allow approximately 45 minutes for the meeting. Thank you for your kind cooperation! A brief meeting will be conducted for all Parish Lectors on Tuesday of this week, November 18th, at 7:00pm, in Church. Father John will be introducing a variation or two to the Lectors, as well as passing on information. Should anyone wish to serve our Parish at worship as a Lector, feel free to attend this meeting or call Ms. Elaine Sabo. Training is provided. At the 10:30am Mass next Sunday, November 23rd, a short Rite of Commissioning will take place for our newly appointed Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, Jerry Bugar and Dennis Hudock. They will exercise their ministry for the first time at this Mass. On Thanksgiving morning, November 27th, a festive Holiday Mass will be offered in our Parish Church at 9'oclock. Plan on observing the authentic spirit of the day by participating as a family at the Table of the Lord. Father Roman Kozacheson, O.F.M. Cap., a native son of the Parish, will be the priest celebrant. Pastoral CouncilA Pastoral Council meeting will be held on Monday, November 17th, at 7:30pm. We will meet in the Rectory. All Pastoral Council members are urged to attend. |
Youth Choir DonationsThe Youth Choir will be holding a bake sale after the Masses on Saturday, November 22nd and Sunday, November 23rd, the proceeds of which will go towards the purchase of some new choir robes (our members have grown). If you are interested in donating any baked goods, please contact Tina Taylor or Carol Ryan before Friday, November 21st and drop them off before each Mass. We are also planning on having a table at the Christmas Bazaar on Sunday, December 7th to obtain additional funds. We are asking for any donations of new children's games, gifts, or toys with a value of $2.00 and above. Please contact Kathy Trumpelman or Susan Sandoski if you have any items that you would like to donate. Today Jesus teaches us that God is present "with great power and glory" in these moments. Look for the presence of God at such times. Expect His guiding and comforting presence. Womens Club NewsRegular MeetingMonday, November 24th at 7:30 PM in the School Hall. Were having an early Christmas Party. Please bring a $5.00 Exchange Gift. Refreshments will be served by Sue Dunlap and Steffie Levenite. Important meeting to follow the party to make our final plans for the Christmas Bazaar. We hope for a good attendance. Attic TreasuresWe are looking for donations to the Attic Treasures Table at our Christmas Bazaar. Check your attic, cellar and closets for items that you can part with.
