Announcements

The following donations in memory of Helen Bullock were received and are gratefully acknowledged: The Latta Family, Mrs. Mary Shesko, Elizabeth & Tom Dudas, James McInerney, Mrs. Julia Esposito, and Ms. Angelyn Cisarik.

This Sunday's 10:30am Mass features the Rite of Commissioning for our newly appointed Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, Jerry Bugar and Dennis Hudock. We extend to them our sincere congratulations and pray that the exercise of this ministry will provide them with gladness and enrichment.

On Thanksgiving morning, November 27th, a festive Holiday Mass will be offered in our Parish Church at 9:00. Father Roman Kozacheson, O.F.M. Cap., a native son of the Parish, will be the principal concelebrant. Plan on observing the authentic spirit of the day by participating as a family at the Table of the Lord.

Thank you for the dozens of boxed stuffing mix donated two weekends ago in response to the Annual Operation Thanksgiving Food Drive. Your kindness will go a long way in bringing happiness to the less fortunate of our community at the holiday. Look for us to be engaged in a similar church sponsored campaign of charity at Christmas.

Your donation in the "Tree of Love" envelope this year will help us to erect a Christmas Stable with figures of the Holy Family outdoors in front of the Rectory. Also, white lights will be strung in the Dogwood trees of the yard, giving added brightness to our religious display. As before, you are invited to list the names of your beloved deceased on the envelope, which will be placed by the Nativity scene in front of the main altar in Church throughout the Christmas season. "Tree of Love" envelopes may be dropped in the collection basket anytime during Advent which begins next weekend, November 29th/30th.

A Family Perspective

Jesus came to establish a Kingdom of Truth: "For this I was born, to testify to the truth". Christian families are called to be lovers of truth when we protect each other, especially our children, from falsehoods, half-truths and lies. Without truth there is no trust. Without trust, relationships die and suspicion thrives..
