AnnouncementsOur family pride is showing at this weekend's 10:30am Mass, during which we feature a brief Ceremony of Enrollment for the 13 boys and girls in the 1998 First Communion Class. Although their preparation has already gotten underway for the Springtime reception of First Penance and First Eucharist, in a formal way we introduce our future first communicants to the Parish community and give recognition to the program of instruction in which they are engaged at home and in class. We pledge to the youngsters our support by frequent prayer and words of encouragement. Congratulations to:
who take a special first step before us on their way to meeting the Lord Jesus on the forthcoming occasions of Confession and Communion! The Comboni Missionary Sisters welcome the involvement of interested lay people in their varied activities. All are invited to attend an organizational meeting in the Sisters' Convent (58 South 6th Avenue), at 6:30pm, on Tuesday, January 13th. Your support of the Comboni Apostolate in our community would be greatly appreciated. Your kind Christmas cards and other thoughtful holiday remembrances are gratefully acknowledged by the priests in ministry at St. Joseph Church. Thank you for such expressions of warmth and friendship at this blessed season of the Savior's Birth. God love you!
