We Bear Witness to the Risen OneChrist is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death and, upon those in the tombs, bestowing life! For this we are today's witnesses, passing on the witness of Mary Magadalene and the apostles, our ancestors in the faith. Here is our tradition: We hand on what was handed on to us. We are the new yeast in this world! Jesus is risen! He is risen indeed! God saves us - thanks be to God! A Family PerspectiveIt was only when Peter saw for himself that Jesus was risen that he believed what the holy women had told him. In families, we often need to see and hear things first hand, rather than rely on second or third hand accounts and gossip. Like Peter, we are often amazed by the truth.
