Catholic CharitiesWE REACHED OUR GOAL!!! Thank you very much to all for sharing your gift of financial support for this worthy charity. Sister Margaret ReassignedAfter seven years of teaching in the First Grade of our consolidated parochial school, Sister Margaret Mary, I.H.M. has been reassigned by her religious community. The fortunate first graders of Transfiguration of Our Lord School, West Philadelphia will have Sister Margaret as their teacher this coming September. We are saddened to see Sister Margaret leave Coatesville Catholic School after years of dedicated, cheerful service to the children and their families. Her enthusiasm and energy, her warmth and generosity will assuredly come to mind when our thoughts reach out to her. Sister Margaret Mary takes with her our deep appreciation and lasting affection. We wish her much grace, happiness and satisfaction in her new assignment. God love you, Sister Margaret! A Family Perspective - PentecostIn today's second reading, when St. Paul speaks of many gifts and many members, he might well be describing a family. Making the Holy Spirit a "most welcome guest" in our homes is especially important in these times. Reversing the Babel EffectThe Holy Spirit comes like wind and fire -- sudden, sweeping all before, changing forever, touching profoundly our wounds, our hearts, ourselves. The Spirit makes us God's family: "heirs of God, coheirs with the Christ, sharing in his sufferings so as to share in his glory." The Spirit unites us, reversing the Babel effect, so that we may all speak of the marvels of God in our own language. We want to give witness to the Trinity's life in us for the salvation of all.
