Last weekend, materials in keeping with the Archdiocesan Reconciliation Weekend of March 19th-20th were distributed to the households of our Parish. These materials include a full explanation of the Archdiocesan Program and participational helps for sacramental confession. If you have not yet claimed your Reconciliation Weekend packet, please do so from those packets available in the vestibule.

Important Reminder

Have you remembered to make your contribution in behalf of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Overbrook? The Annual Seminary Appeal is currently underway, so that today's seminarians might become tomorrow's priests. Your generosity is deeply appreciated.

Parish Volunteers' Dinner

Volunteers in service to our Parish, who have accepted our invitation to a fine Appreciation Dinner, are reminded that event is this Sunday, February 28th, beginning at 3:00pm. It is being held in the Banquet Room of the Revere Tavern, Route 30, Paradise, with dinner served at 4:00pm. We are deeply grateful to our many kind volunteers.

Celebration of First Penance

Thursday of this week, March 4th, brings a special joyful occasion for seven younger parishioners, their Celebration of First Penance. The children will experience for the first time Jesus' mercy and forgiveness in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Kindly keep them and their families within the embrace of your prayers, as the youngsters mark another milestone in their sacramental journey to the Father.

Special Lenten Experience

St. Mary of Providence Center, 227 Isabella Road, Elverson, will conduct a Lenten Day of Recollection on Wednesday, March 3rd, 9:30am to 3:00pm. The featured director will be Father John Kelly of St. Albert the Great Parish, Huntington Valley. To register, please contact the Center at (610)942-4166.

Forty Hours Devotion

Beautifully placed amidst the reflectiveness and prayerfulness of Lent, our Annual Eucharistic Forty Hours Devotion will be conducted on Friday through Sunday, March 12th-14th. The Forty Hours Devotion features the solemn Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament upon the altar for continuous periods of time over the three days.

On Friday, March 12th, Exposition will begin after the 9:00am Mass and conclude with the Stations of the Cross Devotion at 1:15pm.

On Saturday, March 13th, Exposition will begin after the 9:00am Mass and conclude shortly before the 6:30pm Mass.

On Sunday, March 14th, Exposition will begin after the 10:30am Mass and conclude with a Eucharistic Procession and Prayer Service at 4:00pm. A tasty cold buffet will be served as our St. Joseph Day Table, in the School Hall, immediately following Sunday's afternoon Service. Invitations were attached to last week’s bulletin. If interested, call Fran Shesko to make your reservation. Deadline for reservations is Sunday, March 7th. We look forward to another great fellowship event in our St. Joseph Parish.

Do make our Forty Hours Devotion a special highlight of your Lenten observance, stopping by for visits to the Blessed Sacrament and participating in the Concluding Service. These are days of grace deepening our relationship with Christ Jesus, our very Bread of Life.

A Family Perspective

When the apostles got up after the Transfiguration, "they did not see anyone but Jesus." Wouldn't it be wonderful if we didn't see anyone but Jesus, present in everyone we meet? This Lent, practice looking for him in the members of your own family and parish family.
