Sacrament of ReconciliationThis weekend, Confessions will be heard on Saturday, March 6th, from 5:45 to 6:15pm, prior to the Evening Mass. Next weekend, Confessions will be heard on Sunday, March 14th, from 9:45 to 10:15am, prior to the Morning Mass. Also, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is available anytime upon request. Lenten ServicesIn addition to the daily morning Mass at 9 o'clock, a mid-week evening Mass is offered every Tuesday at 7 o'clock. The Stations of the Cross Devotion is conducted on Fridays at 1:15pm, and immediately following the 9:00am Mass on Saturdays. Annual Forty Hours DevotionBeautifully placed amidst the reflectiveness and prayerfulness of Lent, our Annual Eucharistic Forty Hours Devotion will be conducted on Friday through Sunday, March 12th - 14th. The Forty Hours Devotion features the solemn Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament upon the altar for continous periods of time over the three days.
Do make our Forty Hours Devotion a special highlight of your Lenten observance, stopping by for visits to the Blessed Sacrament and participating in the Concluding Service. These are days of grace deepening our relationship with Christ Jesus, our very Bread of Life. St. Joseph Day TableThe Annual Forty Hours Devotion brings an invitation to all, young
and old, to join us at our St. Joseph Day Table, in the School
Hall, immediately after the 4:00pm Closing Prayer Service on next
Sunday, March 14th. A mighty fine cold buffet and all the fixings
will be served, with the Women's Club generously providing the
spread of meats. If you could bring an appropriate salad or irresistible
dessert, please call Fran Shesko. Likewise, give Fran a call by
today (March 7th) at the latest, if you wish to make reservations
for yourself and your family at our St. Joseph Day Table. Continue
the fellowship at the Eucharistic Table by joining with us at the
St. Joseph Day Table after the Church Program; our Holy Patron
would certainly smile upon this glad gathering in his honor. |
Parish Pictorial DirectoryThe next phase in the production of our Parish Pictorial Directory is about to be undertaken, keeping us close to schedule with this challenging project. Before moving on, however, we ask that those who are submitting their own pictures of themselves and their families, rather than having the Olan Mills photographs taken, should make such picture submissions to either Andrea Levenite or Kathy Catanese this week. Thank you! Special Appeal Next WeekendThe Special Collection next weekend, March 13th - 14th, benefits secondary education in the Archdiocese. Students and their families shoulder much of the financial costs for operating our Archdiocesan High Schools. The larger Catholic community, however, is likewise asked to support Catholic education on a secondary level, providing a God-sent opportunity for academic learning and moral formation for many of our young people. Help to nurture the Catholic faith and to develop future leaders of our Church; be generous to the 1999 Collection for the Archdiocesan High Schools next weekend. A Family PerspectiveBased on testimony of the woman at the well, "many Samaritans believed" in Jesus. Our families are called to testify in many ways every day. How is your family doing?
