Reaching Out To Young Mothers

On Tuesday, August 10th, from 1:00 to 2:00pm, a Young Mothers' Hour of Prayer will be held in St. Cecilia Church, Chestnut Street and Sixth Avenue, featuring the theme: "Life is not a problem to be solved, but a mystery to be lived." Baby-sitting will be available in the Lower Church.

A Family Perspective

Today we heard how Jesus tried to get away by himself for a while but the crowd followed him. Parents experience this all the time! It is important, for parents to take time to nourish and refresh themselves so that they can continue to nourish their families.

Our Pride is Showing

At Commencement Exercises for the Coatesville Area Senior High School on June 14th, two graduates were from St. Joseph Church earned special recognition. Ranked among the top twenty-five honor graduates were Kristin Barnes and Erin Powderly.

In addition, Kristin Barnes was the recipient of the following awards: Highest Academic Achievement, Bausch and Lomb Science Award, Interact Club Scholarship.

Both young parishioners are college bound: Kristin Barnes to Drexel University, Erin Powderly to Penn State University.

Congratulations, Kristin and Erin, for your outstanding scholastic accomplishments! You are a source of pride and joy for us all. God bless you with satisfaction and success as you pursue your college courses and grow in His grace.
