The King’s Playful Subjects

Employing as its theme, "The Castle of the Son", and highlighting concepts about the Kingdom of God, our recent Vacation Bible School Program ran the course of a very successful week for approximately thirty children. Judging from the broad smiles and level of enthusiasm, the youngsters (and their leaders) had a very enjoyable time over the five evenings. Our sincere thank you goes out to the program’s facilitators: Frank and Jan Lasak, Kathy Catanese, Susan Sandoski and the generous, attentive adults of the King’s Court who assisted them. God love you all.

Church Contribution Envelopes

Shortly, the boxes of Church contribution envelopes will be distributed. Each box holds a year’s supply of envelopes, clearly designated for parish offerings, Archdiocesan appeals and national Catholic causes. More and more our parishioners have favored the use of one box of contribution envelopes for both husband and wife in a joint donation, rather than an individual box for each spouse contributing separately. For the most part, we will be following the pattern of recent years. Should married couples wish to make a change, however, either moving from two boxes to one or from one box to two, please notify us at the Rectory Office (610)384-0360 and we shall be pleased to accommodate your request. Be assured that we are most grateful for your faithful use of the envelopes when making your kind contributions throughout the year.

Take A Risk

God seeks us out when we least expect. Heaven's Hound likes to catch us unaware. The Spirit blows like a gentle breeze through our distraction, startling us with closeness. If we pay careful attention as Peter did on the lake, Jesus gives us courage, beckoning us to jump out of the boat and come. Without him we shake in fright. With him all is well. In this Eucharistic celebration he nourishes and strengthens us like children to enable us to follow him. do we dare?

A Family Perspective

Nineteenth Sunday - When Jesus calmed the storm, the disciples recognized him as the Son of God. When family members come to each other’s aid during the storms of life, they too, ease fears by being the presence of our living, loving God.
