Frequently Asked Questions

I found something missing, wrong, or out of date on the website. Who can I tell?

We're in the process of updating our parish website. If you see something that looks wrong or you're having problems, feel free to contact us at Thanks for your patience during the transition.

How do I become a member of St. Joseph's?

If you would like to register as a parishioner of St. Joseph's or have questions about the registration process, please contact our Parish secretary Stella Grubb. Stella is available at the rectory after the 10:30 Mass on Sundays, or you can call the rectory to schedule a convenient time to register. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our Parish family.

How do I join the Catholic faith?

St. Joseph's welcomes those without a church affiliation or from non-Catholic denominations who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith and its practices. RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Our Parish RCIA Program warmly invites you to participate in a weekly series of presentations meant to enlighten, encourage and guide. For those who choose to do so, the climax of the program may be your formal reception into the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Initiation. Please contact the rectory for details on the program.

How do I make the arrangements for a Baptism or Marriage?

Arrangements for Baptism and Marriage may be made by contacting the rectory. The preparation for these special sacramental events takes time, so wherever possible please call at least one month prior to the christening date and at least six months prior to the wedding date.

How can I arrange for a loved one who is ill to receive the Sacraments?

The Anointing of the Sick and Holy Communion are administered at home to our ill and house bound parishioners upon notification. Please call the rectory and inform Father Oulds when anyone is hospitalized. The sick always have a place in our community prayer.

How do I offer Mass intentions?

If you wish to schedule a Mass Intention, please contact the parish secretary. Intentions are generally celebrated in the order they are received however, it is the priest's prerogative to give priority to intentions for health or well-being. You may also request that the Intention be celebrated at a specific Mass to recognize an anniversary or other special event. Please schedule these well in advance and we will try our best to accomodate you.
